Mini Primark Haul:

So this happened....
I only called into Primark with a work collague to
look at this amazing giraffe print £5 dress but somehow I came away with not only the dress (look at it! How could I resist?) but another dress and a top.. oops.
The white shift dress was only £5 and I loved the loose fit and the unusual, sporty material. It'll be perfect for both work and going out in the summer paired with monochrome or gold accessories - the perfect all rounder! I picked up the striped tshirt for only £3.50 and I mostly bought it because the material is so soft and comfortable - Primark might be putting their prices up but if they continue reflecting it in the quality who can really complain?

What do you think of my mini haul? Have you picked up any bargains recently?

OOTD #1:

Lace top - h&m (similar)
Shorts - vintage (similar)
Necklace - George @ asda (similar)

Finally a summery outfit! I went for a slightly boho outfit and paired this beautiful crochet H&M top with my vintage Levis. I seem to customize these shorts every time I wear them; either by roughing the edges up or sandpapering them... i'm sure they'll eventually fall apart from my constant DIY.

I had to include a close up of my beautiful sunglasses and fading dip dye because i'm still so in love with the glasses; they're so sturdy and different- I don't think i'll ever wear another style of sunglasses again. I'm a little disapointed with my dip dye- although I loved it when I had it done, after only a week it seems to have faded a huge amount and looks a little washed out. Not ideal really- any tips to keeping it fresh?

OOTD:

Believe it or not, this is my idea of a 'summery' outfit.Don't get me wrong, I love floaty summer dresses and the odd pop of colour in (dare I say it) summer, especially when the weather is as beautiful as it has been, but sometimes I just want to stick to my favourite look (can you see a theme?). I picked up this crop top from Topshop for a measly £7.20 and I'll definitely be back for it in all different colours; it's made of a beautiful cotton material and is so light and flattering! I'm not quite brave enough to bare my midriff so I paired it with my high waisted Matalan 'fit and flare skirt' and of course, plenty of gold jewelry. I did almost pick up a gold chain necklace as well as these ridiculous hoops today but I controlled my inner Vicki Pollard although i'm kind of regretting it now... a girl can never have too much ott gold costume jewelry, right?

What do you think of all black summer OOTD's?

The Shoe-Boot:

I've never really been a shoe person but I couldn't resist these beautiful peep toe shoe boots this week. I've been after a pair of 90s style platform heels in my favourite colour for the longest time to wear on nights out- they're so chunky and comfortable, I'm completely in love!

Have you picked up any eBay bargains this week?

The Primark Skort:

Black Skort - Primark:

Oh Primark bargains, how I love you..
I've been after a skort (looks like a skirt, is actually shorts ICYDK) for the longest time; I almost ordered this Zara one that did the rounds in the fblogger world but being petite, i'm always a little wary of Zara's willowy models and their representation of clothes. Imagine then, to my surprise when I made my weekly trip to Primark and found this little beauty nestled in the sale rail! It's made of a really thick, expensive feeling cotton material and although it's very short, it fits on the waist and legs perfectly. I love the shorts aspect as it means I don't have to worry about pulling it down all the time unlike a short skirt (especially after a few drinks!).
I absolutely can't wait to wear this beauty in the summer and the best bit is it was only £5! Did I mention how much I love Primark bargains?

Have you picked up any Primark bargains recently? Any inspiration on how to style a skort?

Topshop Wishlist:

You know what I love? Overpriced wishlists full of clothes I can't afford.
With that in mind, let me introduce you to my Topshop wishlist!

Honestly, I only went on to the Topshop website to browse the Kate Moss collection but not only have they seemingly restocked all the best KM buys (that aztec smock will be mine) their new summer stock is blowing my bank accounts dreams of ever being healthy. The Kate Moss picks mostly speak for themselves; iconic, slightly ridiclous and definitely not sensible-work-wear, I can't help hoping I manage to get my hands on all of them. They're culturally important, you know? I find myself searching every summer for a pair of reasonably priced sandals that I like and that fit my tiny feet. While I love my River Island sandals, these delicate little gold sandals seem to be calling my name. The bag and the jeans are quite self explanatory; black structured totes are my favourite bags and i'm so obsessed with how Celine inspired this Topshop number is. The jeans are a slight wildcard; I normally live in dresses, playsuits and skirts, especially in summer, but after seeing Kim Kardashian rock a pair recently and watching far too many 90s films, I keep finding myself being drawn to ripped, bleached jeans; paired with strappy sandals I think they're ridiculously chic.

What are your Topshop must haves this season?

Sunday lunch with my parents meant an easy outfit with plenty of room for my food baby(s). I'm obsessed with wearing head to toe black for a sleek, chic and ridiculous easy look that never goes out of fashion. Plus I love worrying my mother; "is everything ok Georgia? Is this fashion?". I simply add accessories to slightly spice up my basic look: for this particular lazy day I just piled on my two favourite, ridiculous OTT necklaces and sometimes I even wear more colour. Sometimes

L'Oreal Wild Ombré Shade 3:

I dyed my hair over with a Superdrugs 'Natural Rich Dark Brown - 6.7 a couple of weeks ago and although I love embracing my natural shade, I couldn't help feeling a little bored with the all over colour. So, inspired by my favourite hair inspo Khloe Kardashian I bought a box of L'Oreal's widly popular ombre hair dye for a measley £4.99 from Superdrug.

I bought the dye in shade 'no. 3' which is intended for "blonde to dark blonde" hair because the ones for brown hair looked far too orange and brash for my liking. After doing the dip dye, i'm so glad I went lighter; as you can see my dip dye did come out very copper based so I can only imagine how much more orange based the darker kits would have made it.
I only left the ombré dye on for 20 out of a recommended 25-45 minutes because I was so paranoid about it going wrong but as the pictures show, the colour is still much lighter than before. The process was a little messy and complicated but I found separating my hair as recommended and then putting a bobble up to where I wanted it dip dyed kept it more or less even (which was my biggest worry!) and don't forget the back! If you have someone who could check you've applied it evenly I would definitely recommend it: I found doing the front bits relatively straight forward once I got the hang of it but not being able to see the back meant I had no idea if it was even. I still don't!

I'm planning on buying another dye this week to hopefully get it a little blonder and a little less copper coloured but what do you think? Have you tried the wild ombré kit? What do you think of my dip dye?

I honestly find spring the hardest season to dress for. Although i'm english and therefore always prepared for unpredictable weather, the other day I found myself wearing a jacket, sunglasses and huddled under an umbrella battling the elements... honestly.
I recently rediscovered my faithful Miss Selfridge leather jacket though which is waterproof, lightweight and perfect for layering so it ticks all the boxes in my fight against choatic Mother Nature and i'm still absoulutely obbsessed with my beautiful River Island sandals.
Do you have any tips for spring dressing?

April Favourites // Mini Haul:

Hi world!
A super quick April Favourites from me full of lovely bargains. I picked up most of these bits while actually shopping for my mums birthday presents because don't I deserve a treat too? I've been really happy with all of these purchases; the Avon perfume has quickly become my go to scent with its floral, sweet scent and I seemed to be constantly asked 'what are you wearing?' while wearing it which I always love. The sunglasses have probably been my favourite buy; I bought them when Bijou Brigette had 50% off everything in store and I couldn't resist their vintage charm. They're so sturdy and such a beautiful style. I would definitely recommend Bijou Brigette for sunglasses; I almost bought 3 pairs! The shower gel and candle were both bargains I couldn't resist- i'm a sucker for a Body Shop sale (another shout out to the amazing staff in my local store who are always so helpful and genuinely lovely) and the candle smells so sweet and lovely. The smell isn't too strong which I always like as there's nothing worse than an overpowering scent.

Lastly, I wasn't sure whether to mention it but I really need to apologize for my recent blogging absence; family problems have meant being home and taking pictures and blogging have been the last thing on my mind but everyone is hopefully on the mend so i'm back!
